Bought a very pretty sweater this summer (full price) washed it once (last week) and now it is fraying. Followed the care instructions to the letter! I went my store to see what they could do for me(brought my receipt, of course). I was really shocked that they would not replace the sweater or give me a refund. I used to buy all of my clothes there, but now I'm thinking of switching to a different store. Is this the normal store policy? I know stores like Macy's will refund or replace defective products.
